Previous Daylily Introductions

'Violet's Army' was from a cross that I made in hope of getting some budbuilder daylilies.  Both parents  are budbuilders.  The pod parent is the first daylily that I ever bought and is a great budbuilder with fantatstic plant habit and is rock solid hardy.  However, I have never been able to identify it (a golden yellow star-shaped flower) and it turned out not to be what was written on the tag.  The pollen parent is 'Diabolique', another budbuilder.  During the 5 years that I grew the plant it never exhibited any budbuilding and the bud count was only 13.  However, I dec

This beautiful plant carries with it the vigour and plant habit that it received from it's pod parent, 'Fooled Me'.  It is a very good increaser, northern hardy, with fifteen buds.  A lovely golden yellow with a very large red eye that shows up from a distance.  The petals are encircled with a solid dark red edge.  Pollen parent 'Kingdom Border'.
