This large flowered daylily with 6.5" blooms is a very good show stopper since it has very good 4-5 way branching and up to 20 or more buds per scape. As a mature clump it puts on a great show, blooming over several weeks. The flower is pink with a very large wine eye and a matching wine edge with a slight hint of cream around the outer lip of the wine edge. It is a full sibling to 'Cupid and Eros', combining the genetics of my 2016 registration 'Cherry Blossom Discovery' crossed with 'Hello Screamer'. Although there are similar looking daylilies on the market I am pleased with the hardiness, the multiple blooms, and long bloom season of this made in Nova Scotia daylily. 'Face Plant' was named due to the dark purple eye on a flesh coloured daylily, reminiscent of anyone who happened to unfortunately take a face-first tumble and receive a black eye as a battle scar.               $35.00  DF (Double fan)
