Mauve Tiara
'Mauve Tiara' is a fuchsia mauve flower with slate undertones and a large cream watermark. The watermark is edged in a darker mauve with a slightly ragged texture. There are hints of a green throat that are overcast in yellow. Raised creamy white midribs extend out from the throat to the end of the petals. The petals are tightly crimped, and to a lesser extent the sepals. A golden pencil-line edge with a lacquer cast is visible on the outer edge of the petals. The pod parent is 'Forever The Optimist' crossed with 'Supermodel'. 'Mauve Tiara' has been a very hardy dormant plant for me and helps to extend the daylily bloom season with its mid-late season blooms. It is a very good plant for anyone wanting large flowers a little later in the season. The scapes have 2-3 way branching and an average of 18 buds. $24 DF (Double fan)
