Niki Jabbour
This daylily is named to honour Niki Jabbour, a Nova Scotia garden writer, authour, and radio host. The flower is a beautiful peach/cream blend with ruffled petals. The outer edge of the petals has a thin white, pencil-edge outline surrounding a quarter inch wide, dark purple edge. The flower has a huge clear-coloured dark purple eye, with a raised midrib that pierces the eye with a narrow peach strip. The dark eye and edge give this flower a stand-out look in the garden. It is green deep in the throat with purple veins leading out to the bold eye. There is 3-4 way branching and an average bud count of 15. The large flower and the thick dark edge have made this flower a favorite of mine over the last number of years. 'Gavin Petit' x 'Carpet Bagger'. $25 Double Fan
