Lords and Ladies
'Lords And Ladies' has a very clear coloured bright yellow bloom with a dark wine eye. Raised midribs bisect the eye with cream coloured spears that pierce the eye and pull the wine colour out further onto the petals, giving the eye a larger, pointed, triangular look. A thin, dark wine coloured edge envelopes the petals. As a mature clump this daylily puts on a great display and blooms over a long period of time. It has 3-4 way branchig and an average of 15-20 buds per scape. The flowers always open well on this plant. I have succesfully grown it for seven years; nevertheless, it is an evergreen plant that I consider less hardy than some of my other daylilies. I recommend if you plan to move it or to divide it, that you do so in the spring or early summer only, so that the plant gets well established before winter. This one involved crossing 'Lady Bandit' with 'Magnify The Lord', which helped to produce the name! $20 DF Double Fan
