Lavender Space Journey
'Lavender Space Journey' is a full sibling to 'Out Of The Fog' and my 2015 introduction, 'Emerging Star'. The parents are my 2014 introduction 'Meenoo's Wings' and Jamie Gossards ' Super Model'. All of these dayliles have high bud counts and excellent branching. They are all rock solid hardy dormants. 'Lavender Space Journey' has a beautiful bi-tone flower with pale lavender petals and lighter sepals. The throat begins as green and merges into a pale yellow. There is an applique eye that is often visible surrounding the yellow throat and that feathers out to form a slate gray halo. This is a standout daylily in the garden, with a form and colour not commonly seen. It has a high bud count of 25, making it a prolific bloomer, especially in an established clump, where the 4-way branching spaces the flowers out nicely. The plant has good height and stands above many other daylilies. The 7.5" flowers remind me of spaceships, and helped with naming it. $30 Double Fan
