Lloyd's Hillendale Sunrise
$32.00

The flower on this plant is a stunning burnt orange with pencil-lined edges. It stands out in the garden with its very large golden yellow throat extending halfway out on the petals and sepals to form a golden star shape. The petals have ruffled edges with some ruffling exhibited on the sepals. The sepals exhibit cascading and some sculpting is visible on most blooms (ridges extending out 3/4 of the way on the petals). The flower has very heavy substance and holds up well in the rain. There is 3-5 way branching which distributes the blooms really well and it has an average bud count of 15. The plant is pollen and pod fertile with some difficulty. It is a very hardy dormant even though one parent is evergreen (Primal Scream x Purple Badger). It is named to honour Lloyd Mapplebeck for his contribution to landscape gardening in Nova Scotia. $32DF (Double Fan)
