Inextinguishable Flame

Inextinguishable Flame

‘Inextinguishable Flame’ is a great daylily. It is the result of a cross between my introduction ‘Lloyd’s Hillendale Sunrise’ and Jamie Gossard’s ‘Heavenly United We Stand’. The very large 8” flower is a reverse bitone with red sepals and orange red petals. The green-yellow throat opens outward to a dark red eye. The petal edges are slightly puckered giving a lacy look. Its 46” tall scapes have 3-4 way branching with up to an amazing 35 buds per stalk. This daylily has one of the best bud counts of any that I have introduced. If you’re looking for a daylily with height and great presence and that also blooms for close to 2 months this one won’t disappoint you. It really lives up to its name! ‘Inextinguishable Flame’ is a hardy dormant daylily that begins blooming mid-late in the season and continues blooming into the fall. If you add this one to your garden, once it is established you can expect it to provide blooms from midsummer into the fall, day after day! Honestly, who doesn’t want that kind of performance in their garden!   $65 DF (Double fan)
