Fuchsia Space Beacon
'Fuchsia Space Beacon' is from a cross with my 2016 registration 'Lavender Space Journey' as the pod parent and 'White Eyes Pink Dragon' as the pollen parent. The result was a very high bud count (in my garden) of more than 25 buds per scape and 2-3 way branching on the scapes. As an Unusual Form Crispate daylily, the clusters of flowers always open well and there is a steady and amazing bloom performance for 3-5 weeks. This extends through all of the midseason and into early late season. Early in the day the petals are more of a darker purple and change to a more vibrant fuchsia. The genetics make it a good breeder for anyone interested in UF daylilies. Because of the long bloom season, the fuchsia tepals with the yellow throat and lighter watermark, light up the garden like a beacon through much of the summer. The star like shape also gives it an extraterrestrial feel. This is a very hardy daylily with a long bloom season and lots of colourful flowers making it an absolute winner. $30.00 DF (Double Fan)
