Crimson Impression
This daylily resulted from a cross of my ‘Emerging Star’ as the pod parent and ‘Forever Redeemed’ as the pollen parent. The flower is a dark crimson red with a very large green-yellow throat opening to a chalky pink halo. White raised midribs extend outward on the petals past the halo. The very bright throat combined with the halo set against the wine-red colour of the 6” flower makes this daylily stand out in the garden. It has been a favourite among visitors to the garden for many years. The scape has 2-3 way branching and a bud count of 12. It is a very hardy dormant and fairly tall at 37”. It blooms early mid-season so you won’t have to wait all summer to see this one set your garden ablaze with colour. Add this to your garden and it will make a permanent impression on you and your garden visitors! $55 DF (Double fan)
