The flowers on ‘Coastal Awakening’ have a very interesting slate magenta colour shown off by a bright lemon-yellow throat with hints of green. It has a slightly visible darker magenta band around the throat. The petals are lightly ruffled. This daylily has been a very hardy dormant in my garden and has a good bud count of 18 with 2-3 way branching, so you’ll experience a nice season of blooms from established plants. ‘Coastal Awakening’ has been named by members of the Coastal Voices Men’s Choir and all the proceeds from its sale go to the choir.
