This unique sculpted daylily is pleated along the midribs. It is a single flower form that is a dark red self. Deep within the throat it is slightly green which changes to a bright golden yellow as it expands in a starburst fashion out onto the midribs of the sepals and petals. Large raised, sculpted (pleated), golden ridges on either side of the midribs, extend out 3/4 of the length of the petals, where the pigment changes to red and the sculpting flares outward several cm further.
