This daylily resulted from a cross of my ‘Quasar Caught Dining’ x ‘Last Fool Standing’ and that seedling was crossed with Brian Culver’s ‘Dragon Master’.  The resulting daylily gives a very solid orange colour with a large orange red eye. With very good 4-5 way branching and a bud count often well over 25, this daylily will bloom in your garden for a long period of time from early midseason through the entire midseason until the beginning of late season. The strong contrasting colours make this a vivid daylily that doesn’t blend in with everything else in your garden. Instead, it makes a statement and draws your eye to it. It is named to honour Alice d’Entremont who is the owner of Ouest Ville Perennials in West Pubnico. Alice has a diploma in Landscape Horticulture from the NSAC and she has been growing perennials for more than 30 years and has also been active landscaping many properties on the Acadian Shore and in the surrounding area. She is a familiar face helping at garden club events or horticultural conferences. Besides being a member of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture and Greenhouse Nova Scotia, she is also a member of the Nova Scotia Rock Garden Club and the North American Rock Garden Society. When not active in her gardens and greenhouses you can most likely find her at the ocean in her kayak or helping cats in need. The daylily ‘Alice’s Paradise’ recognizes her significant contribution to landscape gardening in Nova Scotia.Add this daylily to your garden and visitors will notice it right away and will want to know where you got it!! $65.00 SF (Single fan)
